What is the reason conduit is required for #8 cu but not for #6 bare solid cu wire? Also to OP I read where you are using UF to feed from the main panel to the sub? Is that in conduit in the house and outside underground or is that not required?

Great looking space. I am interested to see how you set it up. Is that a mill you have also? If so are the lathe and the mill useful to have around the shop?

Your garage turned out great! I think the paint made all the difference making it seem brighter. What color did you end up changing to you on the brick. The one that you started did have a violet tint to it.

Awesome build! What kind of trans does it have currently? It would be cool if you could incorporate an NV4500 5-speed into it to run behind that Y block.
