Looking for a quality benchtop mill

A quality benchtop mill is like finding a quality 4x6 band saw, pretty rare. There's a reason that Bridgeports are so popular; they were considered bare minimum. Look at a Rung Fu, they were pretty popular a few years ago.

Bridgeport Mill, what is it worth?

Ummm.... nope, how would one even do that? Just did some quick measurements, 3.5 inch cast iron table, 1/2 inch air gap and 3/4 inch lead screw. Anyone that stupid should be prohibited from breeding, much less using a milling machine.

Jacob's taper chuck keeps falling off of taper.

How much run out do you have? Drill chucks are not precision tools.

Jacob's taper chuck keeps falling off of taper.

I always do a shrink fit on my drill chicks, male part gets chilled, i.e. in the freezer overnight, female part gets warmed in oven at 180. Put them together, they will lock in place. Word of caution, you may never get them apart once done.

I'm on the opposite side of the fence, I have plenty of Snap on, Mac, Proto, Williams, Craftsman etc, my biggest issue is replacing tools. I don't have a tool truck that comes by, I don't have a Proto dealer near me. Starting buying Tekton, break a tool, send a picture and new tool in the...
