I think the hole for the piezo speaker is above the "Learn" button. Cut a small piece of electrical tape and put it over the hole. That should quiet it down quite a bit and you wont loose the safety feature.

The markup on Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paint is huge. If you know a painting contractor, get him to buy the paint for you. You will pay less than half the retail price. Use Wooster or Purdy Chinex Brushes. The new Wooster Pro Doo-Z roller covers are awesome.
