I'm of the same opinion as kbs2244. Another simple way of doing this is take a piece of cardboard and a marker (preferrably non-permanent) mark the stud ends and press the cardboard up against them....low and behold you have a print of the stud pattern to take with you and match up with rims. :)...

That gets 'em every time unless of course if communicating with another Southerner! I do need to warn you though...if in a discussion group with another Southerner you may want to be prepared for all the honey and sorghum molasses that will be dripping off the emails. Lots of folks like to try...
