What is it? Wood slitting plane?

Thanks again crguy. We picked up a great load of tools and planes last week. Lots of work sorting them out in Arizona's 110 degrees. https://www.facebook.com/141608502655308/photos/pcb.1062142817268534/1062138517268964/?type=3&theater

    Odd plane. Core box?

This reminds me of some core box planes I have had. It measures 17" long and weighs about 12 pounds. No makers mark.

What is it? Wood slitting plane?

Interesting tool I have not see before. There are 2 narrow blades that can be adjusted seperatly. The handled portion can taken off and reversed to pull it in the other direction. Maybe for making the tongue for a tongue and groove joint? It is unmarked.

    What is it?

Interesting tool. I think it is made to inject a material. When I got it there was some hardened rubber in the tip. The handle ratchets the plunger forward and then the level releases it with a pretty strong spring. It measures 12” long and has a “gun metal” finish. Any ideas? No maker’s...

    Help to ID tool

And the winner is "couchSpring". I collect Stanley planes and have a 194 but I did not recognize this part off the 193. I knew it felt like a Stanley part. Thank You.

    Help to ID tool

I picked up this tool today. I have seen a lot of old tools but not this one. It have the 2 razor blades in it when I got it but am sure they are not original due to hole config. That said the 2 plates come off each side to slip some sort of blade behind them. The 2 wings have different size...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I bought this vise last week. It is marked Athol Mach Co Athol, Mass USA and 712 with a 1912 date on the bottom. I know it is pre 1920 by the markings. The jaws are 4". The interesting thing about it is the handle. It is a fixed handle (does not slide back and forth). In order to operate the...
