Need Help Lifting a New 72" Tool Box Hutch in Gilbert Arizona

I needed super heavy furniture moved, but didn't want to bother the aging neighbors... Used the app TaskRabbit. Had a guy come out within an hour or two and it didn't cost much at all.

What floor when steering while stationary?

Interesting, I was under the assumption that it'd grab the tiles and pull them across the floor. I'm only basing it on a YouTube video I saw where that happened though. Expensive to find out first hand though.

What floor when steering while stationary?

I'll have to look into it. Its not new concrete but there's stains and whatnot, but no physical damage. Might be just the ticket, thanks for the suggestion.

What floor when steering while stationary?

I'd love to get some type of flooring in my 3 car garage, ideally some sort of easy to install/replace tile like racedeck. However, we have a pull through bay with doors offset from one another and a trailer out back. So a few times a month there's a truck half in the garage turning its wheels...

    Let's Talk Flare Nut Wrenches!

I have a set of SK that hasn't let me down as a home gamer, and some of the stuff I work on is pretty crusty. No idea if post-China-buyout SK is the same or not.

    Fire Extinguishers

I went down this rabbit hole and ended up with cheap disposable ones. Couldn't make the $ work for anything else. With the price difference I can buy plenty of extras and have more stashed around. In my anecdotal evidence of 1 use, the cheap one from the hardware store did fine, and others were...

What size mini split for garage?

In Phoenix with a small 3 car garage with very little insulation, 24k unit works great. Only have it on when needed, but if left on it'll eventually cool the slab and things will stay nice. IMO you can't get advice for AC from non-Phoenix locations. Our home HVAC is "oversized" compared to...

3 speed fan switch wiring question

Yep, as mentioned separate single gang box for the switch. Ordered some 12/4 from Wire Your Way, couldn't find any locally without buying an absurd amount of it. Unexpected delay to the project but I have at least 3 others to work on in the meantime!

3 speed fan switch wiring question

Thanks guys. I did try to do research since I'm not an electrician, but 12 gauge to 18 gauge just kinda threw me for a loop since it's such a big difference. I also read that you're not supposed to use multiple wires, so I have to try and find 12/4 with ground, which is apparently a bit hard...

3 speed fan switch wiring question

Not really garage related, forgive me. I'm installing a "room to room" transfer fan to send air from a closet to the next room. The closet houses a small server rack, which is proving to run slightly warmer than planned, hence the fan. There's a dedicated 20 amp circuit to a single outlet in...

What wattage for USB-C PD wall outlets?

Yeah, the device and charger negotiate to get the power that the device wants. This is part of the "PD" (power delivery) in USB PD. Its also why some chargers and cables have issues, since at least in earlier years they didn't all implement the spec correctly...

mini-split that heats to below 60F set points

How do you turn that on? I've long lost the manual but would love to heat to "not freezing" instead of 60. Doesn't get cold often here, I just want my water-filled engines not to die for the few nights it dips below freezing.

    1/2" torque wrench over 250 ft/lbs?

Just wanted to close the loop here. I ended up buying a Westward 3/4" clicky torque wrench from Zoro: https://www.zoro.com/westward-mcrmtr-trq-wrnch-120-to-600-ft-lb-34-55jc01/i/G3721445/ Total came out to $208 - inclusive of 20% off coupon, free shipping, and tax. Also picked up this 8 piece...

    1/2" torque wrench over 250 ft/lbs?

Awesome, thanks for the feedback guys. I'll take a look at some used tools (hadn't occurred to me!), along with the torque multiplier route. Appreciate the help.

    1/2" torque wrench over 250 ft/lbs?

I have a bunch! Starting down the path of 3/4" sockets when the primary thing I work on is a Miata is still hard to wrap my brain around though.
