I think that you need to start trawling garage shop forums! Some of the guys have a pretty sweet set up that maybe you can copy? Otherwise, what about moving some other wood pieces into the garage and mounting to the wall? That could work too!

Did you manage to get the rust removed the way you wanted it to? Let us know what method you ended up using and whether it worked mate. I'd imagine that removal of the rust would have been a big job and musn't have been easy.

Some of the ideas here for moving tools from one organization unit into another is just purely inspirational! I'm a tad too lazy to keep refurbishing my garage every other week though, so I'll just be content to look through the pictures and advice here and drool over some of the beautiful work...

I am not so particular about my tools, and I definitely don't want to get into a big debate about the importance about precision equipment because there's a time and place for all types of tools, but honestly, as long as the thing in my hand gets things fixed and moving again, no complaints from me!

Hope you managed to handle the moving of your toolbox mate! It's a good one and it'll serve you for a long time. Why not see what else you can do with the thing in your home rather than consigning it into storage though? Seems like such a waste to put it aside!
