Well here is the hammer following a couple of coats of primer and then the finished article.
Personally I am very happy with how it turned out and can't wait to put it to work.
I will definitely keep a lookout for the socket for you. Whilst not a socket I did find these whilst searching through the container of drill bits pictured in my original post.
The adjustable wrench is Bahco, Sweden and the pipe wrench is a Blackbird made by Garrington.
Eagle brand tools were produced in Willenhall an industrial town about half an hours drive from where I live. They were produced by Vaughan Bros you can read some history here...

Thanks for the link North. I don't think my model is any different and you are correct the ends will not simply unscrew. Are Thor brand hammers easily obtained in Norway? The factory is only a 3/4 hr drive from where I live
Appreciate your comments. Thought it would look cool with a black enamel finish similar to how it would have been originally. Each to their own I guess. I have inherited quite a collection of tools many of which will simply be cleaned and put in my tool box ready for use.
