The CH Hanson is my favorite magnetic stud finder. I have one on my tool box in the shop so I never lose it.

I think they are just for sticking it through the sheet rock to find the stud. I'd get a strong magnet instead to find the screws. Or one of the Franklin Prosensors.

Great product! My favorite stud finder. I love Costco. I do also have one of the magnetic CH Hansons in my tool box (actually stuck to the side). Works a little better through thick plaster.
