    4' T8 - How many per outlet?

A ballast converts AC to DC. Watts used is watts used based off from voltage. All ballasts have an amperage rating, but with T8's they are usually milliamps, which are stated on the ballast itself. Out of curiosity, how do you, KTM450 figure that a ballast would be drawing so much amperage...

Hooking three 12-2 to the back of a 20A receptacle?

Just an FYI, inspectors, at least in this area don't like more than 4 devices running off a GFCI outlet. BTW, just series wire the GFCI and everything after can be parallel, it doesn't matter. If you parallel of a GFCI, the devices off from the GFCI won't be protected.

    What a difference

Last week I bought 12-2 for $34. It is on is way up thought. If you need wire, buy it now. Also, I would run 12-2 for everything. Even the 15 amp outlets have a 20 amp feed through. I like to pigtail everything, keep them in a parallel, not a series circuit. As far as dedicated runs, can you...

    12 volt outdoor

Just use a #12 stranded low voltage wire. #10 UF cable is way over doing it. 30 amps at 120 volts is over 3600 watts. Good luck finding a transformer for that since the laregest via retail is 600, not like it wouldn't work, but that's a lot of "dow re me". LV 18-2 thermostat wire would work...

Tamper Proof / Resistant outlets in 2009.

I agree with some of the points. What's wrong with sharing neutrals? It has worked for several years. Will it work with AFCI and GFCI breakers, NO! As far as natural selection is concerned, that's why there are natural disasters. However, I am in the middle of rewiring my house, thanks to...

"very very little of the stuff that walmart sells anymore is made in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. most folks don't realize that there is actually a town in china called USA. Made in THE U.S.A. use to be the case when Sam Walton was first in business but even when he still ran the company ...

    8' 4 bulb T8 light strips

Hey everyone. I have been told that commercial ballasts should not be used in residential applications, something to do with the total harmonic distribution? Would using these commercial fixtures be better for home use? It probably doesn't fit too well here, but I am just curious if anyone can...
