    exhaust gasket materials....

X 2 of what Wild-Bill said. After years of buying and blowing out header gaskets on my race car I started using hi-temp silicone also. lasted longer then any header gasket I ever bought.

    Tire Machine

Here is a place selling Coats that look real nice for $995. If the all look like the one in the pic they are nice looking. This is what my brother has, but his is nowhere near as pretty as this one (he has plans to restore it) but functions great and as I said he found it for $250...

    Tire Machine

I used to race dirt modified, also many many tire changes. Probably every other night out I needed at least one tire. My brother has a old Coats 40/40 and I work part time for a guy with a Coats 20/20. Both of those machines work great on steel wheels and stock type aluminum but I never tries...

    Question on O2/propane torch

I use a 20 LB. propane tank and it seems to last about 2-3 times longer than my acetylene did, a smaller "Q" size tank. So much cheaper and I think it cuts heavier steel better.

Tig welding with a pace maker/ defib

Thank You very much. That is the kind of response I was hoping to get back. My device is a ST. Jude and soon I need to see the rep anyway so I will go in armed with the exact specs of the welder and what I would like to do with it and hopefully he can look into it and give me a honest answer...

Tig welding with a pace maker/ defib

As it was explained to me, the biggest danger with welding with a defib is it picking up electo magnetic field and sort of "confusing' the defib into thinking you are in fibrillation and triggering a shock. The danger then is passing out or what ever may happen to the person (every one is a bit...

Tig welding with a pace maker/ defib

Thank's guys. I think I might play it safe and just let some one else weld with it for me. If TIG can turn off radios, turn on lights, and screw around with a plate in a body I don't think it's worth the risk for the little I would use it. Mustange70, I think that is good advise, but the pace...

Tig welding with a pace maker/ defib

Ok, this will probably start a few arguments but, I have a question about TIG welding if I have a pace maker defibrillator. I know many people say not to weld at all with a PM/defib. However, according to my electrophysoligst if I stay below about 135 -140 amps (MIG or stick)and take a few...

How to fix pinhole leak in Al power steering line..

The dealer is always overpriced. Go to a regular parts store Orileys, Napa, Carquest etc. I don't know the specs on your ranger but I just looked up 04 Ranger with a v-6 and return line was about $12 and pressure line was $39. you can't cobble it for that price.

    Themed garages

"Where in the hell can you buy a pilot seat? With all the gear on it?" there is a group on Facebook called "bone yard safari" one of those guys works at Davis Montham and one time asked if anybody wanted to buy some parts off sold planes going to recyclers. guys asked about all kinds of parts...

    Themed garages

Cool! Always glad to meet another 130 guy. I drank a lot of beer in some god forsaken corners of the world with loadmasters & engineers. JP-8, thanks, you just reminder me I'm a old fart now, It was JP-4 in my day. I got out in 86. Only two permanent duty stations, the "Rock" 1 year and 3 years...
