Gluing transition piece was my exact thought when reading through this thread. I just finished installing racedeck on my floor. I used the 12”x12” for this very reason. The only option in my opinion is gluing transition to a cut tile at the garage door.
I had a mid sized SUV, a Corvette and my Harley parked inside. My vette had to park slightly diagonal to fit it in and provide enough room to avoid door dings. Actually selling my vette is what inspired me to redo the garage now that I have tons of room. My full size truck parks on the driveway...
Based on your location, free flow is the correct choice. I like the pattern and using 4 tiles in each checker board is the way to go. You could even go 6 tile checker board with your large area. I think your man cave area can get away with single like you have it since it’s smaller.

After a lot of research I decided on going with Racedeck flooring in my 3 car garage. The quality and thickness was a perfect combination for me. I also like the fact that I could work certain areas of my garage at a time, and have cabinets and other items on the other side unlike epoxy floors...

I agree with you... My channel locks are my go tool tool for that type of work. Funny thing is when I was organizing the drawer last night I couldn't find my large channel locks. I ended up putting the 2 robot grips in the drawer instead. As luck would have it I found the large Chanel locks this...
