That does look like a nice MK3 Colin, and a great colour for the car.
Well I have had a debate with Wickes as to why i had a price from them for the cabinets when they were advertising 15% off that is cheaper than when they are now advertising 50% off. The usual story they have been changing...
Thanks Colin and to all. Would be good to see some pics of your MKIII, I also had one which was my first foray into Japanese cars and have never looked back.
Stepping into the garage does make it rewarding even if it was three years to breaking ground to getting to this point. Will be happy...
So nearly three years to the day since breaking ground, I now have my pride & joy parked in the garage.
Yes, it seems like it has taken a long time, but sometimes that's the way things are, especially when you only really have the weekends to work on things.
The only thing left to do now...
Thanks Colin
So just a small update, it was a miserable day here today so I managed to crack on with the insulation and the wiring has all been done for sockets.
I have the plywood so hopefully make a start on that in the coming weeks.
So after many months and with the great weather we were having I finally managed to get the floor clear and painted.
I went for a grey epoxy from Regal Paints with a white and black flake. I'm very happy with how it turned out considering it's the first time using Epoxy.
This is what i had to...
I'm about to order the epoxy paint for my garage floor and the process will be (after etching) primer, colour coat + flake and then sealer coat.
When i spoke to the supplier (UK) I asked if I need to add any anti-slip aggregate to the sealer coat and they said no. However i'm worried about...
Thanks,
The opening on my brickwork is 2760mm vs. the door width of 2960mm. It actually seals very well against the brickwork, although i'll probably still run a bead of silicone inbetween the tracks and the brickwork sometime. Then the door in the tracks also seems to seal very well.
So after many months, at long last my ceiling is complete and the lights are all fitted and working. It's been a long slog but i'm very happy with the results.
As some of the eagle eyed among you may notice we're also having some building works done at the moment, with a patio, drive and...
Not much progress :(
Just started painting the ceiling as there was a distraction for a while, i've been putting in gate posts and building gates. After demolishing the old garage access to our back garden was quite open so putting some gates in was on the agenda for a while.
Hopefully will...
Thanks Jacko,
Unfortunately not much to update, have spent lots of time taping, filling and sanding. Seems never ending !!
However it is getting there and hopefully should be painting soon. My LED striplights have been delivered so as soon as painted and lights are fitted I will update.
There are plenty there, probably not coming out in the pictures so well. Will also double check things as I fill.
Yep, used tapered edged board and where possible have those tapered edges together. I'm using the paper tape, which is a first time for me, as it should cover up some of those...
