Dunno I've never had an issue exchanging busted husky at the depot.
Even a couple weeks back, brought in a pair of diagonal with a busted/stuck pivot... had to be 10 or 12 years old no receipt.
Lady at the customer service desk said no problem go pick a new set and bring them up... took maybe...
Another difference is with acoustics the bridge & it's saddle adjustments are pretty well fixed. String height / action and intonation are usually tweaked by adding or removing shims.
Most electrics have 3 screws per string saddle... 2 for height & 1 for intonation. And generally the less they...
Cutting used strings in the middle is more about speed & ease of removal... Otherwise you've gotta pull the curly Q tuner winds through the saddles / bridge block which can lead to scratches & the inevitable finger pop & bleeding.
25 year pro player & studio rat here - use regular 6" diagonal...
Totally agree those new acetate Cman drivers are one of the few things they actually got right... basically 100% identical to the old USA side by side but yeah, maybe just finished a weebit nicer.
Not the bestest screwdrivers ever but sometimes you need something to poke prod abuse and maybe...
Geez we really are completely over thinking this...
If you need a chisel buy a set for $20 and if you need pry bars get a proper bar. The USA made at wallyworld are like 10 bucks.
For a basic set the $22 Milwaukee pack at Depot is certainly good enough... I've had a set in my homeowner loaner...
Saw these in bLowes today yeah wow the 180 tooth ratchet head is massive but it's also really ******* heavy! Kinda shocked by the overall heft of the 3/8 drive. It's a club.
On the wrenches I noticed that same discoloration on almost all of em... inch & metric alike. Didn't look like rust to me...
My cab was in stock at the local bLowes. Only drama was finding someone who was authorized to drive the freight lift & willing to pluck it from the heavens... then finding a lift that worked...
But the box they pulled down showed no damage, I loaded up myself dragged it home & cut away the...
My old man wanted a battery daddy... it's such a piece of ****. Super light weight ultra cheap plastic but... he loved the thing. At 80 I think it gave him something to do... like sorting his pills.
I keep batteries sorted by size in ziplocks and then all the zips in a $5 plastic toolbox on a...
Nobody leaves depot or bLowes with floor models they should fetch one in a sealed box.
I bought a 5 drawer roller in December 2020 and it's been fine. Zero complaints. Same as pictured above with the deep drawer... walmart plastic ammo boxes fit perfect in there.
Not a pro mechanic but I'm in...
Seems like Vaughn still makes 4oz & bigger?
https://www.vaughanmfg.com/Products/TC504-4-oz-Commercial-Ball-Pein-Hammer__15130.aspx
And not USA or that small 2oz... Husky has at least 8 & 16oz peens made in Vietnam that are actually kinda decent. Not as refined as Vaughns but not bad at all &...
I bought a round of the stuff earlier this year when it was just called "gunmetal" and on blowout pricing. All of it made in Taiwan.
Grabbed the 7 piece inch wrenches first because I needed another set... 29 bucks.
Thought about & picked up the very last set of 11 metric wrenches at my bLowes...
Can't say about other stores but the only local bLowes in NJ got Wiha in stock last year & blew it all out... full clearance about 6 months later.
As of today, even 6-8months ago it was all gone. No more Wiha seemed more like an experiment then a commitment.
The couple things I bought... two...
Technically they did make some pre rusted & incomplete blowmold socket kits before pulling the plug... but yeah. That seems to be the much hyped... much anticipated... and now abandoned USA plant.
What a shame.
Flip side... I feel like the quality of the modern Taiwan stuff, especially the...
Have a set of the husky w/ red & green handles quality seems fine I think they're Taiwan but I honestly almost never use them.
Only sizes that ever get used are 4 & 5mm when changing saw blades & a few other bits... Actually pulled all the SAE out & put them in a zip lock with overflow...
