Learning this the hard way.... I put the clear coat down and sprinkled flakes in the some of the bare areas and you can't tell the difference.... however, this clear coat from rustoleum barely got me 150sqft of coverage. I used 3 boxes to cover my 500sqft garage... the flakes soaked it all up...

did you scrape the floor and vacuum/leaf blow before putting down the clear coat? im finding that after doing mine there were a couple less-flaked areas that are noticeable.

I just repaired a ton of cracks in my concrete before doing the floor, I just used hydraulic cement to patch it and then grinded it down flush.

I got a DEWALT DWE46153 Surface Grinding Dust Shroud Kit, 5" and it worked perfectly, picked it up on amazon for 199.
