    Plastic under outdoor concrete?

Both good arguments here, I'm gonna have to agree more with LLWillysfan. Bottom line, exterior slab that's exposed, with any type of vapor barrier is pretty much worthless. Side note: Vapor barriers are not only used for moisture sensitive floor coverings but also to prevent radon gas from...

    Compressor for Air Tools?

Thanks fellas, I've been looking on craigslist and all I have been finding is ****. I need one by this weekend, I've been looking at the 26 gallon Husky. Glad to hear it's working well with the 1/2 impact

    Compressor for Air Tools?

What would be a good 'starter model' compressor for using air tools, specifically a 1/2" impact wrench? I would primarily be using this for tire removal and the only requirement would be an oil-free unit Any minimum requirements on capacity, psi, hp? I'm not looking to spend a ton of money...

Any ideas how to get caulk out of the expansion joints?!

100% right... Your best bet would be a utility knife. Cut the caulking where it meets the concrete all the way down, and repeat on the other side. It's a pain in the *** unless you have a fein tool (which is still a pain in the ***).

    shot blasting the floor

Shot blasting is not that difficult.... It can be (just like anything else) messed up, but just requires common sense and you will be fine. It is much more effective, easier, and cleaner than grinding. You will generally have a vac unit that comes with the equipment to make it a self-contained...

    Epoxy durability

I would be more concerned about the jack stands, floor jack, and rolling lift scratching the **** out of your floor Look into a metallic-aggregate dry shake floor Why are you considering an epoxy floor?
