+1 on the Porter Cable. If you do research on any car detailing site, you'll see a high degree of mentions because it's effective (produces great results) and safe (i.e., won't burn your paint).

Great thread. I've got a similar question. I'm thinking about getting a two or 4 post lift. All of the manufacturers I've looked at state "Buyer is responsible for removing the lift from the delivery truck." My question: How in the h-e-double-hockey-sticks am I supposed to get a 1200lb lift off...
