For not doing well with names, you've done a masterful job of working through the 4-5 (Mark/Marc's) in this thread. Being a "Marc", I've had my name misspelled fairly frequently throughout my life. Not a big deal, I understand it's the uncommon spelling. From what I can tell, you've been able to...

Good hell, there are a LARGE collection of Mark and Marc's in this thread. How do you keep them all straight @zmotorsports -- Mike? ;)

How do I protect floors/tables from poly stripper?

2-3 layers of flattened Amazon boxes would work also. I'd do a damaged OSB/plywood board (whatever you can get a deal on) with Ram board or waste cardboad on top of that. That gives you an OSB/plywood board to store for a future project that your heirs will have to dispose of

I honestly can't blame you. NC-SC has some serious appeal to me. My respiratory system would likely appreciate being more coastal and I'd be lying if it doesn't cross my mind to move once or twice per week. I like my kids too much and am looking fwd to being in Mike's shoes where I have...

"Need" is kind of relative. Depends on what you drive and exactly where you live in the west. ;)

Utah is ugly. Everyone just keep moving along. Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho are much nicer than Utah.

Utah "clean sheet of paper" attached three car garage

I don't remember the dimensions but I do think we adjusted them a bit. It fits my Jeep, my A-body and my Gladiator with a nice little workspace. It could be better sized but I'm fairly happy with it overall.

53* in the garage today. Drier and warmer than outside for sure. At some point I should probably get serious about some heat in here? (I live very near Salt Lake City, UT) I had a cute little popping noise the past few times I've taken the Gladiator out for a cruise. For lifted Jeeps noises in...

K5 would be a 10 bolt rear (most likely). Those are known for killing bearings under Suburbans that tow. As you say, wise to get it fixed now before it needs more parts when it ultimately fails. I've seen the same with bearings. Name brand bearings seem to be mfg to pretty exacting tolerances...

Great observations! I think it VERY WISE to look around at what we do have and appreciate our abundance. Most of us here have something are on the way to having "something". That doesn't mean we quit working but a good re-evaluation is never a bad thing to do. I feel VERY fortunate to have what...

Tough to beat a GM D60 if the low pinion and passenger drop work for you. Ford 60 is a better unit but is driver drop (unless you've done some work to it). Should be a stout pickup. I hope to see it around especially if it's who I think it is that's having you build it. I've ran the GM D60 for...
