So what ever i use to sleeve the NM i just run straight up through the drywall ceiling, no box or anything?

my original thought was to just put a old work plastic box in the ceiling and run some kind of cord with a plug to the outlet, and consider that my service disconnect, not as clean as i wanted it so thats why im looking for more of a hard wired approach instead. I also have about 5 feet of 1/2"...
