    That'll do the trick then I guess. :-) Only downside is that they don't have an opening spring, don't think that's a big deal though. Guess I could buy both of them, and use the larger version exclusively for battery cables.

    Also, how do these compare to their Rennsteig counterparts? They look very similar, except for that black thing underneath the handle. What is that exactly? Also, they even have this bench mount available: Are the dies interchangeable between Rennsteig and KNIPEX?

    You mean the locator? :) Heat shrink terminals are awesome in each and every aspect! They don't really belong on classic cars though. ;)
