Remember when it was warm enough to work in your garage?

North Centeal IL has been rough this winter. Luckily I don’t have many projects going on right now so I’m not burning through propane like crazy. Come spring we are going to plumb NG to the garage and install a hanging heater. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SHOP RADIOS, what are you using?

Free 32" tv, free cheap speakers, $20 wall mount, $30 roku. I can stream YouTube, pandora, sports, movies. But my garage is only 40 feet away from the house so I still have a good wifi signal out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hidden Security Camera System

I'm cheap so i use what I have. I use my trail cams (deer hunting). I have one set in the garage and two in the yard facing entry areas. During the off season they are on sale. The higher end ones can be viewed from your phone or tablet. But unless you are close by your not making it home before...

    Flooding in the basement

I wouldn't do anything to the cracks. The water will just find another place to come in. Since you are renting I would suggest the least work possible. What I did when I was living in my parents basement as a kid was extend the down spots. We lived at the bottom of a hill and when it rains here...

    Swing shift

I work 7 day swing Mid Aft Days. 7 on 2 off, 7 on 1 off, 7 on 4 off. The hardest one is getting to bed at a decent hour for day shift. I got use to it after a year or so. It stinks only having one weekend off a month. But it pays the bills which is good enough for me. Sent from my iPhone...

Best way to insulate around the flu pipe of a hanging furnace?

Lowes and Home Depot carry Roxul brand. Just ask for ceramic or rock insulation. We use kaowool at work to seal our tin bath (liquid tin that molten glass floats on) it's rated for 2400*. Kaowool can be ordered on amazon if you can't find what you need in the stores. Sent from my iPhone using...

    Furnace Issue

Yes the spark igniter. The clicking a lot to take off and then not clicking at all is what is making me think it's shot. I'm not sure what places like HD would carry. A local hvac shop should have it in stock. Ours did and the furnace is well over 20 years old. Unfortunately most of those places...
