got another bike running on its own after complete carb cleaning and rebuild, adjusted idle, sync'd carbs, put the fuel tank and seat back on before calling it quits for the night. hopefully tonight there is time for a test ride.
5 out of 7 running, not bad.
removed the carb on a Craftsman 42" rider I got for free. water got in the fuel and gummed up the works pretty bad. broke it down and put it in the ultrasonic cleaner for an hour while I ran up to the parts store to get a gasket kit. reassembled and it fired right up.

started trying to trace my wiring issues from this mess:

formed up some additional tangs to hold the hose better on the stand I built last year, put a new filter and sparkplug in the lawn mower and designed a mounting bracket for the front brake manifold for the Yamaha Venture project.
removed the rear wheel off my Vulcan, swapped gears, now to assemble and test it out
rebuilt calipers and m/c for the Venture
tuned up lawn mower and discovered more parts that are needed for the upcoming season
tore down my wheel barrow to replace the handles and paint the frame with POR-15...
Put the rear frame on the Yam Venture, then proceeded to take the front fairing off looking for wiring issues and to begin working on rebuilding the front brake system
finally broke the floor jack cylinder apart to see what was wrong with it, got the brake caliper that I had torn apart clean up and ordered new seals. found a wiring connection that was loose on the V65 that was causing intermittent short when handle bars were moved. what a birds nest that...
Lots of little project-tried fitting a Wilson beavertail into my 1911, tore my jack apart to try and get to the seals, then tore the rear calipers down to be rebuilt
rebuilt the rear m/c on my Yamaha Venture, took the rear caliper off for rebuild, put new spark boxes on my V65 Magna and changed the oil, tore down my 3 1/2 ton C-man floor jack to replace seals to get it hopefully working again. only to find out I don't have a wrench big enough to break the...
removed the rear brake system on my 84 Venture. whole system was caked up with dried brake fluid from sitting so long. hoping to tear the m/c apart and get it working again. if not, looks like a rebuild is in my future.
with new plugs and plug wires tested spark to my V65, failed so it looks like new CDI's are in order. removed the Carbs off my Venture for the second time due to the choke not moving after rebuild.
worked on a speedo gear and MAP sensor for a Neon, put my freshly rebuilt carbs on my Yamaha Venture only to find out that the choke linkage is all screwed up so now get to take them back off again, ran new spark plug wires on my V65 Magna, finished building a desk for my wife's scrapbooking...
