A lil note from the bird lake guy - your build looks GREAT - tuff going during the pandemic - but, great build
haven't been on bird lake much this summer - how are your aunt and uncle doing with their bird lake build ??( the only true way I can see progress is from the water)

Pics after installation of a Wildfire XLT lift and their double wide - its only been 2 weeks of very limited use - they seem quite sturdy and robust - will update down the road (so to speak)
Within the past two weeks i had a wildfire double wide and an xlt installed in my pole barn.
communication was excellent - even though they got super busy after the vice grip garage install
both lifts are robust and sturdy - my buddy who owned a shop for 25+ years was impressed - he does not...
If you click on the pic, i should open into a larger pic (perhaps check & see if it opens in a 2nd browser window???)

No worries Trav - i will get the brand of led lights we used on the inside and let you know.

THAT project has been quite interesting to watch from the water!! Would love to learn more about their long term plans. Do they also own the lil grey house that was owned by a Toledo judge???
Concrete done!!!!......i am pretty much done with spending any more funds on this build (for now)
The only two items that are on my $$$ radar are winter projects:
1) exhaust vent install over stove
2) sliding barn door (with glass) to separate shop from apartment
The rest of the projects I...
Great place so far!! Nice job.......I am due west of you in Osseo (Hillsdale county)....I have noticed that most people LOVE pics....and will comment as they see fit.
Keep up the great work, and as others have said, that's a beautiful piece of property you have!!!
Not too much happening on the inside of the pole barn this summer- getting ready to pour some concrete for the north side of the building; before i could do that, my contractor suggested adding a retaining wall
Sooooooooooooooooo the retaining wall install will happen this week...65' wide x 3'...
Hi JD,

when i made the decision to live in the apartment (on the weekends/cuz its a 2nd home) it...
