My Mitsubishi mini split is mounted on a 2 x4 exterior wall and there is no noise or vibration inside. The unit is extremely quiet to begin with so that may be the reason for no noise or vibration.
One of the many reasons I bought the Mitsubishi. There are cheaper units out there but I read...
Plain and simple, tell the builder that is is not acceptable and that he needs to correct it. Politely and professionally of course.
I had my builder re do my three largest windows 4 times until he got it right……that’s what I hired him to do. I know it is frustrating f but don’t let that...
You want a sealed system. Proper micro mesh gutter screens will keep debris out of your drainage. Downspouts connect and seal to your pvc drains. They will not require cleaning if you prevent debris from entering.
Basins will allow debris in and plug your drains.
Don’t use corrugated pipe...
A simple and not too expensive solution is a booster pump. No pressure tank needed. This particular pump is designed specifically for your problem. Yes there are cheaper models but you get what you pay for. Its automatic. All you need is power and tie it in to the plumbing. Connect just after...
I paid the big bucks for an insulated garage door for my house and it was worth it. Now that material prices have gone thru the roof I changed my tune. I built a new shop and insulated the door myself. Under the foam insulation is a layer of radiant heat barrier ( foil bubble material) I...
No need to buy Harbor Fright vacuum pump for DIY projects. O’Reilly Auto parts has a tool loaner program and the vacuum pump is on it. That’s what I did to install my mini split
I have a 14,000 btu portable ac unit cooling my 20 x 20 well insulated garage in TX. I keep it at 80 and it feels cool vs the 100 temps outside. I use an electric resistant heater, 240 volt to heat it. We saw sub zero temps this past winter and it never dropped below 60.
If you think it’s highway robbery then it is. I’m self employed and some think my prices are high too. It’s their prerogative to choose somebody else. I don’t want $100 jobs as I can’t cover my time and investment in tools and equipment in excess of $100,000.
I just installed a mitsubishi mini split. Bought a 16’ line set and cut/flared to the shorter length I needed. Mr cool should be able to validate the fitting sizes. Mine were 1/4” and 1/2”. I don’t like coiling up 10’ of line……a bit ghetto in my opinion.
Most irrigation controllers are 24vac. You need a pump start relay to operate the pump from the controller supplied 24vac.
The only way to go is with a Wi-fi smart controller like Rachio. It pulls local weather from the internet so you don’t water in the rain or even when it is forecasted...
Amen brother you don’t need customer service if it works and is reliable. This $45 Home Depot special is LED and already out lived two $150 Raab units at my old place. Just bought two more for my new building. Motion works great and has plenty of lumens.

Most seem to be in the 36-40” range. This one is 48”.
IMO smooth rolling wheels are key. I replaced old school 4 steel wheels with a new molded plastic 6 wheel model similar to one pictured. I’m 6’1” and it works well. Much easier to roll around in the direction you want to go.

I believe two ground rods are required according to what I have read on this fine forum.
The UFERS I have observed had copper wire buried in foundation trenches. Didn’t have ground rods and were inspected by city. YMMV.
