    Socket suggestions?

I agree with the Capri, Williams, CAT, Wright, Tekton, Icon for Chrome. I also really have had excellent luck with Capri, and Pittsburgh stuff for impacts. I'm a home gamer, but often get into repairing things and have a set for factories when I build up work areas. Also, harbor freight is in...

    The Bicycle (Specialty) Tools Thread

If you have quick clamps, the pistol grip kind, you can use those for third hand tools. Don't forget fourth hand tools too...

    The Bicycle (Specialty) Tools Thread

You'd be amazed if you use electrical cleaner spray. Hose the mechanism down, let dry and follow up with Triflow or equivalent. It's fixed a lot of old rapidfire, brifters, and what not for me. Great trick.

I also have 12v Bosch and use it first for most anything that it is applicable for.

Which cordless tool brand is going to have the longest production life?

This is what I did. I have Ryobi stuff, just because the battery replacements are so cheap. I am not a pro-gamer, so it depends on your needs. The brushless Ryobi stuff is certified good enough for me. I have corded stuff like you described too (mostly Milwaukee) but hardly pull it out...

Help pick 15 piece assortment of 4mm microbits for portable tool

Also there is a hyper tough set at Walmart for $13 that has a million 4mm bits. You could get that and decide what works best for you. I think most Torx and PH0 and smaller are the most used. But brand to brand electronics is wide. I think apple uses Pentalobe, others use triangles.
