    Steel Bench frame 2x4 top

In the past I saw a very talented guy layout a steel work bench frame, with a 2x4 top. The video was quick and too the point. Does anybody know the video, and where I can view it? Thank you.

    Garage needs cabinets

I tore out my old cabinets and textured and painted the walls. I also painted the floor, now I need cabinets. I'm thinking about building them out of wood, i just need a few ideas. I'm looking for diy solutions. I don't want to buy, I'd rather build.

Floor cracked and lots of movment

My garage floor is cracked. Some of it may be from roots, and some of it may be from settling. It's pretty bad, the expansion joint that goes the full length of the garage 30' or so is close to 3/4". One crack has about a 1/2 rise on one side. What is can be done to fix this?

30' run of lockers, drawers and upper cabinets

I was just calling the 3' wide 80" or so tall a locker. I think the modular things is what I'll do. Maybe use the Phenolic (SP?) plywood.

30' run of lockers, drawers and upper cabinets

I may end up there. I can draw it in about 10 minutes. The material list and cut list are a little different. This is my first time building something like this, and every little bit helps. I may just order baldhead or something simliar

30' run of lockers, drawers and upper cabinets

I'm considering building a 30' run of lockers, drawers and cabinets. Is there any known simple software that I can use to layout my build and print out material list and cut list? Sketchup looks to have a learning curve that I don't want to tackle? Any other ideas? or even a service?

What is this ruler designed for

This is my Grandfathers ruler. He was an electrician in a lumber mill. Any idea if this was designed for something special. Notice that the high numbers are on the left. The other side is the same way? http://garagejournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=482543&stc=1&d=1443640079...

    40x60 Metallic building

I'm leaving the top the way it is. I'm looking for ideas on how to treat it. What is it about water based gloss polyurethane that makes it a good choice? I'm looking for ideas on treatment, is there any treatment, that is natural, that includes a fire resistant property? Allen

    40x60 Metallic building

I tried to post this earlier, I hope i'm not redundant. I finished my metallic steel shop in July. I finished my running air lines in strategic locations. I finished the lights. That was a tough one for me, and the people that contributed on here. I over thing a lot of this. I also treated the...

    1x12x10' cedar siding

Are there any thoughts about using the same lumber as a french cleat. I'm going to put a french cleat about where the nails are 8', the cleat would cover the nails, but is the cedar a good wood for that use? Also, the cleat will no be fully used so some of it will always be visible. That's the...
