    Insurance for garage and contents

OP--consider also whether you have a gap in liability insurance relating to the property where you shop is located. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

    Bend Pak low rise

If you're looking at the Bendpak P-6, note the lift pads are, as I recall, only 57 inches long. If that spans the fore-aft distance between the vehicle's jackpoints, you're good. Or, if the car can sit on the chassis pinch welds, that's ok. But, cars needing more than 57" and with plastic...

    26x28 garage....finally might happen

Thoughts about insulating and sheet rocking (fire barrier) the garage ceiling, just in case you want to do something later with the space upstairs? Much easier now, than after you have the lights, etc. up there. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Moving to the country, any words of wisdom?

If you're really interested in property around the water in this region, be sure to understand the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act. It imposes a150' "Resource Protection Area" (buffer) along any water, and can seriously eat into your available land should you ever want to build anything, clear...

    Bend Pak MDS-6K

If you can stomach cutting the floor, think about flush mounting the lift. No tripping over it, doesn't lit how you use the floor space when it's down. Bendpak has a slightly different model of the one you're looking at, that's designed to be flush mounted.

    Bend Pak MDS-6K

...didn't seem to be in stock when I got mine last year. (Mines similar, but the low rise parallelogram lift r/t the mid rise scissor.) Functions fine, ended up having custom hoses made up as those included weren't long enough. Drilling clean holes for the included 3/4" wedge anchors was hard...

Long as it fits... Otherwise, manufactured in China but mine appears well made. Took a long time to get it, the specialty lifts

    Bend Pak MDS-6K

Download the manual from Bendpak's website and compare the fore-aft length of the lift platforms (disregard the ramps included in the 79.5" overall length) to the distance between your vehicles' jackpoints. I have the Bendpak P-6F and the platforms are about an inch shorter than the span of...

Optimal coating for tinted concrete floor?

I'm starting to re-think what I do here... I'd like a nice looking floor, but if nothing will hold up well to the driveway's abrasives, and knowing that we won't reliably be diligent about cleaning tires before rolling into the garage, and if worn spots can't be aesthetically repaired, does the...

    Lowes vs. Home Depot?

I’m really liking the customer service at Home Depot these days: • Needed a new BBQ grill, and recent hand surgery dictated one that was already assembled. When the one we picked wouldn’t fit in our SUV, the store manager had it loaded in his truck and drove it to our house, gratis—22 mile...

Optimal coating for tinted concrete floor?

A few things going on up there at the ceiling. There are of course the tracks for the overhead door, plus an I-beam running longitudinally down the center that I'll use for hoisting my little Boston Whaler for hull maintenance, or to hoist an outboard or a car engine. (Max live load 2,000...
