I live about 15 miles from this station. Pretty cool part of Downtown Perry. Courthouse, town square, all old buildings. Car and motorcycle gatherings on weekends, etc. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

New 24'x24' Bungalow Woodshop/Autoshop in California

I have a 24x24 Morton. 2 things I would have done different, 24 is a great width, but I would go 28 for length. That way there is plenty of room for a 20 foot truck, and a workbench on the end. Also, check your garage door width, vehicles need at least 9 feet, and that's tight. 10 foot is way...

    20X20 The Slow Build!

Just found this thread, the style and front elevation of the home caught my eye. I am totally into porches. Have a large one on my home. I went with a 24X24 shop, to the back and right of our home. But I also have an attached 22X22 garage on the house. I always try to remember "less is more". I...

    Questions about routing my romex

Should start wire at receptacle, run approx. length to Breaker, cut and run back through. Way I did it, and it worked for me. I had purlings I nailed studs to, the ran the wire behind the studs. Went back and secured with electric staples. Also, I have an open to the peak. I ran wire along the...

    entry door step-down: removal?

Common helper for these is a ramp, make it out of treated lumber. 2X6s attached, you can cut an angle them similar to a window sill. This ramp can be moved. Also you can build a small platform for in front of a bench. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

MDF or Plywood for interior walls

I furred with 2x4s, White Pine, nand treated for a bottom plate. Ran the electric. I used 1/2 CDX along the bottom, and a 1X2 treated for trim againsts the floor. The plywood rested on that. The pegboard on top. I caulked everything, the a coat of Kilz to seal. Then 10 yr old Sherwin-Williams...

    Work bench top ideas

@Outlawmws, yes I was referring to your comment. I am already through a lot of my current bench build. I decided to go with a sandwich top. A sheet of half inch plywood ripped lengthwise, and s heel of wafer board ripped. The plywood on the outside, wafer sheets inside. Held together with liquid...

I thought about 2X4 on edge, with a plywood top, or just floating polyurethane onto the 2X4s. how did yours turn out ?
