A file is a good place to start. I prefer it because I can take my time. If I have to fill in gouges with some welding, I would go to a grinder. Can't put it on, once its off.
I have the same one. Mine sits in the corner doing nothing. Its just a flat surface for my to put more **** on on the garage. Kinda like my treadmill .
This is very true. I just finished replacing the shaft on my 3000. I had inadvertently placed my finger on the lock as I was operating the tool. I tried to change bit but was unable to break the bit free from the check without having to disassemble the entire thing. At least now I'm well versed...
