I don't have the greatest eye for color, but Krylon's "Safety Green" looks like a pretty good match, no?

Champion R15B Air Compressor Rebuild Info, Photos, Tips (Long)

Does anyone know the name of the green paint used on the Champion pumps? Is there a Rustoleum equivalent? Did not see anything close at HD.

Champion R15B Air Compressor Rebuild Info, Photos, Tips (Long)

Thanks Kevski! I noticed some other differences between my original pump and the one I received on Friday with the bad rod journal. My block has an access panel on the bottom of the block. It also has rod cap bolts that attach from the bottom and thread into the rod like on a car engine, on...

Champion R15B Air Compressor Rebuild Info, Photos, Tips (Long)

About a month ago I bought up an unidentified nonworking compressor off CL for $60 that I wanted for the tank. When I picked it up I discovered it was not functioning because the flywheel was broken. There were no labels on the motor, pump or tank but I was able to figure out it was a Champion...

    Garage tunes

I picked up my garage stereo at an estate sale. The Onkyo receiver cost all of $5, and the pair of Advent speaker were $15. One warning on speakers from the 1980s or so. The foam ring that mounts the paper cone to the speaker frame degrades as it ages. The first time I turned up the volume to a...

Considering an Outdoor 2 Post Car Lift in Michigan

Hi Matt, Thanks for the great advice! I have a thought for the electric I'd like to run by you. What if I used a heavy duty extension cord and plugged into my shop welding outlet when needed. I already have one that I made for my old generator that I used to back feed my house during outages...

Exactly, plus I bet I could do an oil change in about a third the time as doing it on my back in the driveway.

Bill, after looking at CL I found a lot of them are 3 phase. Also if it is not set up you can't see it operate. The ones that are set up they want your to disassemble and move. For $1700 or so I can have a new one delivered to my door with a 9 to 10k lb capacity. That is more than I plan to lift...

Boost, are you referring to hoists that were exposed to rain? I am now planning on the car port idea, combined with wrapping with a tarp to avoid any wind driven rain. I will also coat any exposed metal parts with marine grease.

Wizard, I would certainly grease down any parts with no paint. I would not leave it in direct exposure to rain either.
