The formula works for incadecent lighting (resistive) but is not 100% accurate for transformer type lighting (inductive). It is always better to look for a amp rateing on the device whatever it may be. Mike

Look inside the light on the ballest and find the amprage. I am guessing on memory but i think it's like 1.15 amps. You are alowed 80% of the breaker rateing. On a 15 amp breaker it would be 12 and on a 20 it would be 16. If they draw 1.15 amps it would be 1.15 X 9 = 10.35 amps. You will be good...
