I don't agree at all.... Opposite! You can always add a few batts to your attic later! But upgrade you ac in a couple years will cost you 3000$ at least! Do both if you can, if not do ac. Check into code as Larry said!

I don't see any bubbles or where the leak is, try to front seat it then back seat it again. You can also put thread sealant on the cap. Assuming it's not the flare connection!
