    Socket set advice

    Socket set advice

Resurrecting a really old thread here, as part of an attempt to locate a Craftsman #33876 tool case with #33875 tray. I sent a private message to Tlag (who said he had one years ago), but have not heard back. Anyone know if Tlag is still posting on here?

I was able to get nearly all the sizes I wanted from McMaster Carr. They arrived and are clearly very well made. Just ordered the last few sizes from MSC Direct (these are Blackhawk). Appreciate the good leads from this Forum.

Thanks for the feedback! To get the sizes I'm missing, I think I'll go with McMaster Carr. They have a much wider selection than Craftsman, their prices aren't that much higher than Craftsman (looks like about 20%), and the comments earlier in this chain indicate they are good quality.

New guy here, resurrecting an old thread. I'm a gearhead who works on his own cars. I have Craftsman hand tools, and wanted to fill out my socket selection (the sizes they don't offer) with comparable quality parts. Since I don't make my living with these tools, would Westward be OK, or should...
