if you could make one change to your garage

If you have the room, a 40 building with drive through is not enough to pull a truck and attached trailer in and shut the doors, so 3-4 feet wider/longer if you're after that. And one door should be 10 ft tall. I found out you cant even bring a 60 gallon compressor standing up on a trailer in a...

Anyone decided against radiant then regretted it?

Not the answer to the question you are asking, however I had the same thoughts when building my shop. I decided against the high cost, and have not regretted it. I think there have only been 10 days in the 2 years that I would have really cared, living 4 hours south of you.

    Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

I bought the m18 fuel drill driver/1/4" hex impact combo today and used the $150 toward 1/2" m18 fuel impact. They also matched my harbor freight 20% off but only up to $50 (woulda been 79). All in all 150+50=200 off. total $436.01..They didn't have the 18 hackzall in stock so I will wait for a...

    shop vac attachment

Anyone know where a guy could get a shop vac floor attachment, larger than 16"? I like to vacuum the shop (40x80) and would like to spend a little less time on it. I have one about 11" now. I find 16" on ebay, but thinking larger would be nice. I don't know how large I can go either before it...

18V Milwaukee Sawzall - Regular or Fuel???

Since you already have a large corded one, I would say go for the one handed Hackzall. That one handed saw is going to be real handy in that crawl space!

Fix it yesterday if possible! It will ruin the floor soon. I repaired the floor in mine with new material. The flexible down tube was leaking and needed replaced.

    Filler strip under garage door?

I had concrete that had dropped as much as 4" on one side. I used cardboard attached to the door to make a mold, and sprayed the expanding foam in a can to fill from concrete to door bottom. I sprayed pam on the floor to help the foam release. Then sprayed with black rubberized spray, "like...

What is the point of open end wrenches?

You could do that very easily, however you would have a little clinking noise going down the road :lol_hitti

    help deciding on lift placement

My vote would be toward the back, but you are going to do most of your work on the sides and front, so be sure to leave plenty of room for moving carts, etc in the front. If you are going to end up with too many things in the front you might like it toward the door, where you have plenty of room...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

put new seals in the air conditioner compressor for my truck (97 chevy). New seals approximately $30, freon $20m, $5 for the seal installing tool..not to bad to take a shot. Would have to buy the freon either way, so $35, and working like a champ so far. :bounce:

    garage fans

I have a squirrel cage fan out of a furnace that I mounted on a stand with wheels. I roll it to where ever I want the air. It is on the high speed currently but I am thinking of slowing it down some, it blows a LOT of air.

Putting a basement under my garage (& back yard) ?

Thats a great idea, and while your at it take bets from the naysayers and recoup some of your money. You obviously have the balls for the project, see if they have them for the bet
