Hi Drivesitfar, Thanks very much for your responses. i think the $80/hour will give me an idea of what to expect. I got the vice from my Neighbor who got it handed down by his Grandfather. i may have said to much in thinking i could fix it for him.. well we will see. i will ask some my buddies...
What is the definition of "Rather dramatically not cost-effective.".. 10's, 20's, 100"s of dollars ? how would i find some one qualified to do this welding and fabricating?
So, does anyone know how many of these Fulton Lowville 13 units are out there? Would someone want for parts? Or would someone have a base to replace? Is that feasible?
Hey, Thanks for the comments on the Fulton Lowville. it's a 6 inch size vise. see Pic attached. i have taken it apart cleaned the years of gunk off and have all the parts. i believe all parts are in mechanical workin order.
Any idea how much labor to do the welding on the foot and add the new...
Looking for suggestions on the Fulton Lowville fixed base vice.
Base is broken at jaw, and one foot is missing.
Inherited from neighbor. Not sure what to do with it.
Anyone have a replacement base for Fulton Lowville *13? don't think this is repairable?
Is this something for the recycle...
