I measured up the beetle at 13ft 4 long. I never thought it was that big! Anyway if I remove the bumpers I can recover about 8 inches which should help.
This weekend will be some roof repair and hopefully start clearing some space in the garden for a shed.
If the freezer and workbench are on the back wall then there is a gap of about 6inch to the side of the workbench..... I'm thinking about leaving the freezer where it is and putting the work bench at the back on the right and then the tool cab on the left against the back wall.
Hope that might...
Played around with the layout in the garage this evening to try and work out the best setup.
Compressor hidden away in the work bench.
However with the beetle measuring a reported (according to the interwebs) 13ft 4.... things aren't quite going to fit.
Going to measure it for real...
Bit more done over the weekend.
Got the work bench in..... Still got to work out if it is in the right place when we try and get the VW Beetle in.... Found that the compressor fits in the work bench which is awesome and saves some more space.
Then various jobs around the house and garage...
Not 100% as i think the water is running down the inside of the felt and appearing in a different location... so finding where it is actually coming from is a bit of a PITA.
Hopefully got someone coming to look at it this weekend.
So this evening was spent boarding the loft.... This has given me ideas to do the same with the garage to make the roof space more usable for storage.
Just wondered if anyone had done this and if there were any issues encountered?
I'm looking forward to getting my work bench in to the garage...
Ok so a bit more work on the garage this weekend.
Finished painting the walls and the floor.
Here is the extent of the leak after yesterdays rains
Still trying to work out where it is coming in. - it was damp in four places but that was the worst of it. Also dripping down through the...
never used leveling compound before and this stuff worked brilliantly. Easy to mix and pour. i did help it along a bit with a trowel but i have to say that was minimal work.
It set pretty quickly but then it was 26 degrees C on that day.
will check the roof this weekend.
so paint has started on the walls.
Flooring went down at the weekend.
Couple of air bubbles where we should have let the mixture settle before pouring it.
Anyway happy with the floor - it is so much better than before and so much less dust!
Now to paint the rest of the walls and the...
Checked out the Electricity supply to the garage yesterday with a view to upgrading the lighting and number of sockets. Currently the light switches are in inconvenient places and the exterior light is on a plug in to one of only two sockets in the garage (the other being used by the...
Thanks guys.
So a couple more pic and a bit more info.
So the garage had Ivy and other plants growing all over the side and over the roof. It was also starting to grow in to the garage.
This has now been removed.
The concrete floor is ridged which would make working on a car a bit of a...
