I feel your pain but instead of my previous homeowner messing things up, his wife had people she knew who did horrible shoddy unsafe work. I am putting up new kitchen cabinets and when I took down an upper, I found a live wire just capped and shoved in the wall.

Buy the breaker bar and if you get another better one, just put the HF one in your/wife's car with corresponding socket for lug nuts. Cheap insurance over using that little tool they give you in your car tool kit.
My 9 dollar 18 inch 3/8 ths breaker bar hasn't let me down. I took out an old...
Harbour Freight sells stuff called Super Lube. It's the same stuff that Snap-On sends you in a little tube with their ratchet rebuild kit.
I saw a show on a Taiwanese manufacturing worker who was bad mouthing Chinese made tools. There "pro" stuff really isn't that bad.
Yeah. I couldn't find it either. Research showed me that it looks like it is a Dunlap sold by sears. I found an old news article for for their add. I can't make out the date. Looking at the price then, it has held its value. Lol...
I have a lot of resto work ahead of me.
Anyone hear of Precision A Bilt? :dunno: Looks like a scout. I can tell you this much, it's cool but has a poor casting. Looks like metal was running everywhere.
Yeah...the stickers/graphics are just plain dumb...He says that he thinks 2500 is fair...pffft...I'm looking somewhere else. If I offer 1K, I'm sure he wouldn't take it so I didn't bother.
Thanks guys.
Without insulting him, what would be a fair price for this cabinet? I couldn't find this model on the snap on retail site. I did see rollers for 2k though.
He just says make an offer.
Thanks in advance.
I bought an old Wilton vise and was happy that I had a rehab project, but when I took it apart to clean, I saw a slight gouge in the acme screw. It looks like it has been there for 40 years. The actual metal that was gouged out was still there and it was very small. This was just something...
Can anyone identify these cabinets? There are 7 total and he says they are aluminum. They look old and I'm hoping they are made in the USA. He wants 200 bucks OBO. He mentions they need new paint lol. I will call him tomorrow to find out if they are dented up or don't slide well. If not I may...
How did the bench turn out? I know this thread is over a year old but I ended up reading the whole thing with no pay off. Lol. If you read this, nice resto BTW
