Hmmmm...I forget whether the 3/4" didn't fit or was too loose. I know my lugnuts had silvery plastic caps to look like metal and these sometimes fell off. But even with them on, I had to use 19 mm. Oh well. Glad I no longer have to drive that Chevy!
I disagree. On my Chevy Cavalier, which officially used 19 mm, I could not use a 3/4" socket. Likewise, I could not use a 3/8" Allen bit/socket on my brake calipers; I had to go buy a 10 mm one, even though most kits didn't have that size.
My cars have used 3/4", 13/16" and 19 mm. One time, a plastic cap fell of the lugnut for my 1991 Chevy Cavalier, so I had to use an 18 mm instead of 19.
I have also worked on a teacher's truck which used 7/8" lugnuts.
Why have I seen some 4-way tire wrenches that have 11/16"? LOL.
