Wera 7000 series torque wrenches made by Norbar?

Page 9 of the doc in the link below shows a totally different design. I don't know whether the Norbar rebranded ones are the newer versions, or this is? Wera, like most other tool companies seem pretty bad at keeping their website updated...

Fractional Inch Tools - Who Needs 'Em?

Re: Fractional Inch Tools - Who Need 'Em? All Boeing and Airbus aircraft use sae fasteners, even the new ones. As for home use, I've never needed anything but metric in 20 years of fixing my own cars (Volvo, Saab and Mercedes). I've never bothered buying any SAE stuff.

craftsmen vs wera vs wiha screwdrivers?

If you've decided on Wiha, the Wiha Bosch sets are still floating around on Ebay and seem extremely good value http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-Wiha-Professional-Tool-Set-17-Piece-1619BR0400-/190907673610?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item2c72fbec0a They're often to be found on ebay below...

    Tools from the old world

@2oolhound, they look remarkably like Rahsol sockets, which was a lower cost brand owned by Gedore but has since been shut down and replaced by Carolus. There are still a lot around in the UK, and the Gedore distributor that the UK sells a lot of old stock on ebay still has some listed.

Felo 550 vs Wera 900 Series Chiseldrivers

The Felo drivers have got great reviews elsewhere on this forum so would probably be my choice also. re using pliers for additional leverage, Wera do make a version of the chisel drivers with a 1/4 sq drive socket in the stricking cap so you can fit a t bar or ratchet for extra torque. May be a...

New Gedore 1/2 socket set sans box for £50. I called the seller and it's a 6pt set and typically I was hoping for a 12pt set. Might be useful for somebody else out there...

New Wera wrench is a real Joker

Now available in 11 Metric sizes from 8mm to 19mm and 8 imperial sizes (does anybody really care about imperial sizes anyway, apart from aircraft engineers?) Having used my set for a few months, the biggest advantage for me is the 12pt open end which is actually a flank drive design (Apologies...

    New Ratchets

Wera Zyklop are my favourite ratchets. Gedore a close second. Neither get much love in these parts are they are neither made in the US nor polished and shiny.

Help me find this crazy ratchet I once saw?

Proxxon also make rotator ratchets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 sizes and each has a 1/4 dr female in the handle to fit an extension or t-handle for extra leverage. http://www.proxxon.com/eng/html/23084.php

    >>>>> UK Hot Tool Deals - Post Them Here! <<<<<

They were probably being sold by toolventure, who sell them cheaper on their own site. http://www.toolventure.co.uk/hand-tools/wer-029510.html Toolventure and FFX seem to be the best places to buy Wera in the UK, though it makes sense to wait until you need a few things to avoid shipping charges.

    Gedore vs Stahlwille for sockets/ratchet?

At the end of the day, I doubt you'd be disappointed whether you went with Gedore, Stahlwille or Hazet. Personally I have mostly Gedore, mainly as the ratchets felt the best and the knurling on the sockets is useful if using gloves vs the Stahlwille knurling which is little more than decorative...

    COO no longer matters

At the risk of derailing the thread, the real reason COO won't mean anything in the future is that 3D printing will mean the market for consumer goods will switch from a manufacturing and distribution industry to an intellectual property industry. Why bother making something cheaply in China out...

New Wera wrench is a real Joker

Newbie here, but thought I'd add a perspective from a user. The plate with the teeth serves 2 purposes. Using the plate side at the top, the wrench will stay located on a fastener enabling all of the torque to be transferred to the nut rather than trying to keep the wrench located on the...
