That sounds promising. My gravel is nowhere near as thick as yours though, I only have maybe 4'' of it. But being that it hardly rains here, I don't think that will be a problem. I've never had any drainage in my backyard before.
here's a picture for reference, I want the deck to look something similar to this...
The foundation for the shed would be similar but with a shed built on top of it....
My backyard is all gravel right now and I want to put in a small (10'x10') floating deck and a small (10'x8') shed in the backyard.
Originally I was going to use the Dek-Block Piers blocks (https://deckplans.com/) and build the foundation and deck off of those. I did some math and I would need...
That's pretty bad advice. I was like that 10 years ago. I worked exclusively on japanese cars and i mean EXCLUSIVELY!!! I tossed all my SAE sizes. Now I have to buy them for other projects because I dont have any... :lol_hitti
Just finished going through the Beta catalog, found a thing or two that I liked. Went through most of the Sealey catalog and didn't really see anything that I had to have...
A lot of the Sealey Storage products looked identical to Harbor Freight stuff. I can only imagine that the quality is the...
exactly, i don't actually "need" anything at this point and I hate to say it but I feel like I already own every tool that I will ever need at this point (minus maybe a CNC, Bridgeport, Plasma Cam, and a few other high dollar items... all of which are cheaper in the US and even if they weren't...
I just finished going through the Teng catalog and I honestly wasn't overly impressed with anything they offered. I'm sure the quality is great but they didn't have anything "unique".
I have noticed that Makita offers a lot of stuff here that we dont get back in the states (which includes...
Has anyone heard of Maun Tools? Looks like they're here in Notts (not sure if it's actually made here though....).
They have some straight edges that are way cheaper than anything I've seen in the states. They claim accuracy up to .01%
Also wondering if maybe there's some tools in other areas...
I just went through the 2013 Britool Catalog and didn't see much that I don't already own (or get) back in the US in a craftsman, mac, or snap-on.
The Angled Socket Wrenches are pretty unique to me, don't really see too much of a use for them but might be worth picking up just because. Might...
We're in the nottingham area, beeston to be exact. Going to check out machine mart next week and I found some decent stuff on ffx.
Thanks again for all the suggestion, a bit overwhelmed right now but I'm glad I have some good leads now. I tried homebase and b&q a few weeks ago and wasn't...
Thanks for all the suggestions so far, I've never even heard of Britool, King ****, or Facom before you guys mentioned it. My budget isn't exactly limitless so I'll see what I can get my hands on.
I have noticed that there are some makita stuff here that we can't get at home which I'm planning...
My wife and I are in the UK for two years. I'm on the look out for tools that I can't find in the states. So far I haven't been able to find much here that I'm not able to find at home. Power tools are somewhat out of the question since it's all 220v-230v here (unless it runs off makita LXT...
I wish I would've found this post awhile back. I bought a pair of Nomads and the leaf a few months back. I kept going back and forth on it before I pulled the trigger. I almost want to say that I lost some sleep over it trying to decide what to do.
I have a welding table already that I built...
