    Battery Maintainer

I have 2 that look just like that but only 1.5A. One has been in service year round for 1 year and the other about 2 years and they are still going strong.

    North TEXAS

Welcome from Missouri. I grew up in Weatherford and still go back a couple times a year. Amazing how much the area has changed in the 15 years since I moved away.

Diagnose Tankless water heater. Hot but not enough. Tiny leak

Probably not. The water adjustment valve will sometimes cause the same symptoms and is also relatively inexpensive. I would give Navien tech support a call. They are second to none and will diagnose the issue in minutes.

Diagnose Tankless water heater. Hot but not enough. Tiny leak

Directly under the buffer tank, there is a 2-way valve for the recirculation pump. If it is set to external, switch it over to internal and see if it resolves the issue. If so, you have a bad check valve. Very cheap part and a quick fix. It's a common problem.

Thinner the better when it comes to burgers. It's all about that crust from the maillard reaction.

    Easier garage door operation

This may be a dumb question but why are you using the garage door to get in and out a dozen times per day? Surely there is a front door to the house?

Do you take RaceDeck tiles with you when moving/selling houses

Maybe I'm just cheap but there's no way I would leave them behind if I had them. I priced out my garage project and it was going to be about $2,500 for Freeflow tiles. Everyone talks about how easy they are to install and remove if needed so it seems silly to not take them with you, especially...

Looking for a tool for a specific task

Thanks for the replies guys. Forgot to mention that I really only need the 5/8'' size. The gearwrench look like they would work great for this application. Does anyone know the overall length of the 5/8 wrench from that set?

Looking for a tool for a specific task

Hey guys. I'm a plumber and I'm looking for the best tool to tighten supply line nuts to stops quickly and painlessly. I've always used pliers which are fine when you can break the nut loose and unthread by hand the rest of the way but more often than not, a tool needs to be used to take it all...

Do you think Knipex Cobra style pliers have completely replaced Channellock tongue-and-grove style pliers?

As a plumber it is had for me to imagine working the rest of my career using only channellocks after experiencing Knipex. The difference is night and day. I used channellocks for a long time but they are now relegated to hammer duty. For gripping pipe they are pure garbage compared to Knipex.

how to fix this outside plumbing leak?

You usually want to use 6-7 wraps with that thin white tape. I prefer the thicker stuff and use 3 wraps but the thin tape takes more wraps.

    Toilet offset? Only 11-1/2"! D'Oh!

12" rough will be fine. Don't even worry about it.

    toilet flange questions

Tapcons and a 4x3 Sioux Chief TKO with Stainless collar. Cut pipe flush to the floor with long sawzall blade and glue the flange in. I always stand on it for about 30 seconds after gluing to make sure it sits all the way down.

Copper pipe to brass shower valve leak

The female adapters are not needed in this situation. Remove them and sweat the pipe right into the valve.
