Do the vehicle lift companies usually offer "Black Friday" deals?

Update on mine. It's been in service for several months without issue so I'm satisfied with the lift in general. The cable operated release mechanism is OK but the cable clamps they send with it are almost useless. They tighten with a 7mm but are so close together due to the small size that...

Lift modifications Thread- Lets see them!

The only solution I see (short of buying another lift) is to raise the entire runway enough to clear the vertical part of that pulley area. If it's done in all of the attachment points the same height/method shouldn't affect the lift operation at all. Maybe some thick wall tubing 2x2 or 2x3?

Their installation manual *****! I highly recommend watching this video all the way through once, then referring to it as you go. Note: they even screwed up the shutoff switch wiring in the video but correct it later. The wires go on the inside posts, not the outside ones. The lift itself is...

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 2-post lift but I'm not in a rush for it if there are usually BF deals to be had by waiting a few weeks. Do the lift companies usually offer BF deals that are worth waiting for? Thanks, Richard

200 amp service underground to new shop 250' away

I see my error now. Is the 2/0-2/0-1-4 your recommendation over the 2/0-2/0/-2/0-1 ?

Any advantage of the 2/0-2/0-1-4 over the 4/0-4/0-4/0-2/0 other than price? I've tried several online wire size calculators and they're all calling for 4/0 or bigger for this distance (even at 70 amps).

Thanks for the link. I was about to ask if I needed 2/0-2/0-2/0-1 or what you linked to. That price is closer to the price I paid for the 4/0 triplex. I'll see if they'll modify my order.

Would this be good choice? And can go inside the building? https://nassaunationalcable.com/products/250-4-0-4-0-4-0-2-0-aluminum-mobile-home-feeder-cable?_pos=35&_sid=7c839586b&_ss=r

OK. Plan was to have a Main breaker in the panel at the shop to be able to disconnect it completely from the house.

OK. So I'll keep my order that I placed for 4/0 aluminum URD triplex. What size ground should I run with it? #2 was suggested by the electrician.

It will be a branch feeder off of my existing service. He asked an electrician who corrected him. He said we DO need a ground run the entire distance. "also, the shop panel would need to be a main service panel with a bonded neutral..." Not sure what that means. What is considered a "Main...

250' I should've just hired an electrician! LOL. Too many differing opinions on what I thought would be "black and white". Wire company says they can modify my order but I don't know what to order (again).
