no clue on pricing, but if your only throwing the disk in once in a while, just back in carefully, 12' is lots for an 11' disk, just don't rush. sadly its common to have about that kind of clearance in pro ag. shops (at least the 3-4 I have worked in, stuff is just to big!) so. would recommend...

inlay with narrow strips of wood to create the ribbed effect, close to original colour, bamboo looks close to my eye, use epoxy as glue, and pour over epoxy to seal, sand and polish smooth. let us know what you end up doing

just a curiosity, thinking out loud really, not knowing which drill press you have, how its setup, etc. but could you mount the motor upside down? ie sticking up instead of down? (fabrication req'd most likely) also, why go with well over triple the hp? can the drill handle that extra weight...
