    Radiant Tube Heaters

I have the Mr Heater 10' U tube configuration. I'm very happy with it - some day I may even insulate the building and make its live a little easier. 36x40, 12 ceilings.....

Humid climate> damp garage> rust on everything!

I have a thermastor whole house dehumidifyer - it handles 2500 sq ft, too small for you but I can attest to the quality - if they sell bigger units I would bet they will do the trick....

    Framing Question

I face nailed a 2x6 through the sheathing to the truss studs. Then came off with perpindicular pieces of 2x6, I think 16", then I capped it with a 1x6, then ran the roof sheathing over the whole thing. Having that first 2X face nailed gives you a surface to attach your soffit material, plus its...

    Can U Cut Z-Vent pipe ?

a year old now - maybe I just bought the 'piece of junk' brand that self destructs when touched with shears. I didn't have much choice when I bought mine - it was the last one left.....

    Can U Cut Z-Vent pipe ?

That's site is noting a special version of the vent pipe. Mine had a sticker on it that said 'do not cut'..... I guess if you welded the seam back up you'd be ok.....

I bought pieces from them too - The sales guy came right out and said that I should try to source the heavy stuff locally.

Just installed these around my garage door...

If you go to a real garage door store you can get almost any color of that trim. I used a 'clay' color to match my doors.

Roof trusses? Standard or raised? whatcha think?

I don't think you need the scissor trusses if you have 12' ceilings. I have a 12' celings with a full sized lift. All 'clear floor' lifts have a bar running across the top to house the hoses and cables. This bar ends up being in line with the vehicle's roof, so you can't lift the car past 12'...

Late Comer but here now........(Large pics)

I'm sorry Keith - (732) doesn't quite register as the shore for me - hahaha. I grew up in (609) exit 17 (Sea Isle) We called it the beach, and we had shoobies - I believe your shore tourists were benny's? My wife went to TR North. We have the shore debate all the time! Nice car by the way - I...

    Unusual Tips and Tricks

Variant of the same - I use a racheting tie down strap. Wrap it around the tread and cinch down till the sidewall touches the rim, apply air to get the tire to hold. No need for quick reaction times for either method. Once you get the sidewall to touch, simply release pressure on the strap or...

    Ceiling Fan Wiring/Electrical Question

I had the same problem with the Hunter 'Original' series fan- these things are something like 2.5 amp motors - I had to order special switches for them. I only did one per switch, but had I done two, the outcome would have been the same.

    Radiantec floor heat

I'm into Radiantec for $3000 so far, and my system is not yet complete. I still need all of the pumps, manifolds, and oh yeah....a boiler. Some of the stuff you can likely source elsewhere for less. But they're a good shop. There's a guy there named Mike who seems to know his stuff......
