I'll try to take some pix tonight. No gables--it's a hip roof. Trusses run perpendicular to the wall I will attach to. No gutters either--yet. I'm thinking of adding them down the line to fill a rain barrel. (And of course, gutters should greatly help reduce the rain on my head/ hitting door)...

My interweb search for construction plans for a simple, covered entryway to my garage has landed me here. I did a couple of searches on the forums, but nothing turned up (except for the Saltbox thread in TX hill country) and I don't have the patience to sort through hundreds of posts searching...
