    Mr. Heater mounting question

    On mine, I placed 2x4's across the top and screwed the heater on them. The clearance is about 3 inches from the ceiling and my heater is about 7 feet from the floor. the heater works great and warms up my 20x24 workshop in minutes.

    Wood floor in shop..welding and weight????

    I had the same problem. I cut out the floor and poured cement, it has an eight inch base. I used the 2x10's for the attic ceiling and braced them to the trusses.. Way better with the cement floor, cost 2,000.00 but well worth it.
