Didn't see but I'd take a piece of 1" round pipe and cut it about 1/2" or 1/4? and weld it around the bolt so that the rear mounting bolt doesn't shear or damage in the event of another impact.

I would have another installed come out. Where are you located? I found a installer on liftmaster's site that was a gold or whatever dealer. They did a great Job. He said he's done well over 100 of them, most in higher end homes and has not had one call back.

Why not buy a sea crate and keep it in there, cut in a hole for a/c for climate control and store the goods till things get better. On a side note have you looked at cutting costs, IE refinance or ??? We cut out eating at outback 2 or 3 nights a week and are saving almost 300 a mo or more...
