Cleaned carb on Toro 8/26 snowblower with Tecumseh Snow King engine. Only cleaned carb bowl & carb bowl bolt with carb cleaner. Started on first pull whereas last winter would only start using the electric starter.

I have a similar revving situation and some oil leaking from the water pump. My research says it could be the gaskets in the water pump. Haven’t tried fixing yet. But, I’ll be sure to check the carb too.

I'm using a straight shaft Echo 225 and highly recommend it. Check out cordless as well. After getting a Dewalt hedge trimmer (bare tool since I already had batteries), in the future I'm going for all cordless lawn tools since my lawn is fairly small.
