Air filter/regulator: This might be a dumb question but...

I put it back together last night and it seemed to be working fine. I went back and checked it after a few hours and it was holding good. Then I checked it this morning and the entire tank had drained, so something is still not right. I checked the Grainger site and its a discontinued item...

Air filter/regulator: This might be a dumb question but...

In my experience with other regulators, they vent pressure while you are lowering the set pressure but then they stop. This one keeps venting pressure constantly. There are no arrows for flow, but there is a sticker that specifies max inlet psi on the left, which is where I have the inlet air...

Air filter/regulator: This might be a dumb question but...

I just installed this Speedaire filter/regulator that I had acquired used a while back. It is constantly hissing air and then I found this hole (about 1/8" diameter) in the part that covers the regulator spring. Should that be there? That is where the air is leaking from. I'm guessing no but...

    230V Compressor wiring/outlet

I ended up hardwiring it on the 20 amp dedicated circuit with a new double breaker with 12-2 and it's running great. Thanks for the help.

    230V Compressor wiring/outlet

The motor was listed as 15 amps on the HD website but I looked in the manual and it is saying 13.5 amps. I don't want to do this wrong but I also don't want to start spending a lot of money on wiring upgrades if I don't need to. I got the idea of using the power cord on this forum from other...

    230V Compressor wiring/outlet

This sounds a lot easier. I do remember reading about how a sub panel doesn't have the ground bonded to the neutral, so I just wanted to make sure I'm okay just using the 2 hot legs and the ground (green) for the compressor outlet. Thanks.

    230V Compressor wiring/outlet

The compressor did not come with any cord. That is why I was going to use the 6-20p plug (250 volt/20 amp). That way nobody will be able to plug in any 120 volt device.

    230V Compressor wiring/outlet

I've done many searches and read a lot on this but I'm still a bit unsure if I am wiring up my new compressor correctly. It's a Husky 60gal 230 volt, 3.7 HP motor, listed at 15 amps. I have a sub panel in my garage about 18 feet from the compressor. I already had a dedicated 20 amp circuit...

What is the coolest thing you have done to your garage for under $100?

I carved out part of a built-in cabinet and installed my old kitchen sink that was headed for the landfill. I cut the counter top with the sink still in it. The other side of that wall is my basement in the house where I was lucky to have hot/cold and a drain nearby to tap into. I bought a...

    blown in insulation

If you want to have a good laugh, I recently got a quote to do my 1144 sq. ft attic in Long Island, NY and it was $5100. And that is including a $2200 state incentive. The original price was going to be $7300! That price was including baffles, attic hatch framed out and insulated, and a 4x8...

    How come I'm always last?

How long did it take to grind off the old epoxy with that Edco machine? Was the dust created a big issue?

    Rustoleum pro epoxy coating done

Sooperdave, when you powerwashed your floor, did you cover up the walls? I was wondering how much of a mess that makes?

$3.75 / foot for a pro epoxy job?

I was getting quotes $7-$8/ft for that type of job in NY 2 years ago. Sounds good to me!
