So if you buy a used box the warranty will not apply?

Hello all, Looking for some advice on second hand Snap-On KRL boxes. I have my eye on a few but would like to know if anyone could clarify how the warranty works. Does is follow the serial number on the box? Thanks in advance, Mopar
